Start approximately 0.33 miles north of the Pig & Whistle junction in Cartmel centre on unclassified road (Back lane) at north end of field gate beside mini substation. Proceed north through Field Broughton to T junction with A590 (3.92m). Turn left and proceed through Newby Bridge (straight on at roundabout; care) to junction with B5278 (Holker Mosses rd) (7.95m). turn left and proceed through Low Wood, passing Stribers farm and Holker Hall to bear left at Cark (13.37m) onto unclassified road leading past Priest bridge and Gateside farm to finish opposite Cartmel priory school at street light No 165 at south end of layby (15m).
