S100/10Nopinz team-mates Blake Pond and Tori Loze continued their impressive seasons with victories in the Giant Store Helston event over 10 miles on 27 July 2025. Both riders celebrated victories in the Tom Cox Memorial 10 last weekend and repeated the feat in Cornwall.
Open Category Highlights and Results
Pond won his 14th open victory of the season in time of 18:56 – 17 seconds slower than the 18:39 he clocked during the Mid Devon Cycling Club 10 in May. Fellow veteran Jon Tune (CCC RT) finished second 28 seconds back in 19:24 and Matt Beecher (www.giant-helston.co.uk) placed third (20:06).
Pond said: “I had a bit of bad luck with my Wahoo breaking just before the start, so I had to ride entirely to feel. Thankfully, everything came together out on the road and I was really pleased with the time. It was enough for the win — and by an increased margin this time, despite strong competition from riders like Jon Tune.”
