The Muckle CC Bale Hill TT is one of the North East's most scenic and distinctive time trials. This year the course is shortened to 9.9 miles due to road works.
Starting just outside the picture-postcard village of Blanchland, the course heads out onto quiet Pennine roads before tackling the climb over Bale Hill. With around 300 metres of climbing packed into less than 10 miles, this is a true sporting test where pacing, climbing ability and descending all count.
Expect stunning views across the North Pennines, fast flowing roads and a finish just outside Edmundbyers. Whether you're chasing a personal best, BAR points or simply fancy something a little different from a flat drag strip, the M14 delivers.
After your ride, head back to Blanchland Village Hall for the usual Muckle hospitality, with tea, coffee, cakes and refreshments before the prize presentation.
This event is a SHORT counter for the N&DCA BAR Competition.
