The Badge of honour is awarded for outstanding service to Cycling Time Trials.
It was with great pleasure that David Barry attended the Fellowship of North London Cyclists Autumn Lunch on Sunday the 18th of October on behalf of Cycling Time Trials to present Gold Badges of Honour to two very worthy recipients, Vince Freeley of Finsbury Park CC and Peter Tasker of the Icknield RC.
Both Vince and Peter were stalwart members of the London North DC for many years, serving as Assistant Secretary - Open Events and Chair respectively. In addition to their service to the sport through membership of the District Committee both Peter and Vince also carried out a range of other services to time trialling including event organisation, time keeping, course measuring and services to their own clubs.
Family and friends were delighted to be present when this accolade was presented and to be able to show their appreciation to two people who have given so much of their time, energy and expertise to our sport.
